One of the aspects of self-care is caring for and protecting your skin from the dangers of the sun. Sun exposure can cause skin cancer, the most common type of cancer in the United States. Limit your time in the sun and wear sun protection creams, masks, sunglasses, sleeves, etc., every time you go out.
