Dinosaur is Not a Myth, Here Are The Information

Dinosaurs had ruled the Earth for about 174 million years and are a diverse group of reptiles of the clade Dinosaurian. They became the dominant terrestrial vertebrates and were a successful group of animals that emerged between 240 million and 230 million years ago. Dinosaurs are prehistoric reptiles and varied greatly in shape and size. Although these animals are now extinct, the facts revealed about them still mesmerize and shock the world.

Awesome facts about Dinosaur

WHEN DID DINOSAURS LIVE?

Dinosaurs were dominant throughout the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, and the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event, which occurred approximately 66 million years ago, wiped them out. During the Jurassic period, dinosaurs rose to dominance, and some grew to humongous sizes. Iconic relics from this historical phase included Brontosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Diplodocus, and Stegosaurus and were the dominant land animals for 135 million years. When dinosaurs first appeared, they were not the dominant terrestrial animals. They had to face competition from the pseudosuchian, such as aetosaurs, ornithosuchids, and saurischians, which were way more successful than the dinosaurs. But as the Triassic–Jurassic extinction event, these species were wiped out, reducing competition for relics. These losses left behind the land fauna of dinosaurs, causing them to be the most dominant species to exist.

WHAT IS THE LARGEST DINOSAUR? THE SMALLEST DINOSAUR?

The tallest and Giant Dinosaur known from good skeletons is Giraffatitan brancai and was enormous. The sauropods were the most significant and severe dinosaurs, andthe smallest sauropods were more potent than anything else in their habitat. Contenders for the title of the world’s most giant Dinosaur also include Argentinosaurus, which weighed up to 110 tons; Patagotitan, which weighed 69 tons. And Titanosaur from Argentina, which weighed upward of 69 tons. The longest Dinosaur is likely Diplodocus or Mamenchisaurus, known only from a lost partial vertebral neural arch discovered in 1878. Their sizes suffice the power of their dominance, and they ruled over the world for so many decades.

Physical Characteristics and Behavior of Dinosaur

Dinosaurs had sharp teeth that were slightly curved backward and serrated, and some dinosaurs had long pencil-like teeth that they used to rake the leaves off branches. Ancient dinosaurs were slow sluggish organisms, with herding or flocking being a widespread behavior typical to many dinosaur groups. Visual communication has always been essential in dinosaur biology, and a recent study suggests that dinosaurs produced closed mouth vocalizations like cooing as a form of communication.

Why did dinosaurs go extinct?

In the late Cretaceous period, the aftermath of the asteroid collision caused long-term pain followed by chaos and massive destruction, including a shockwave, heat pulse, wildfires, and tsunamis caused by the crash’s death of countless dinosaurs and other species. The sun was blocked for several years, causing a nuclear winter and killing thousands of dinosaurs. Hence, the asteroid caused the extinction of these enormous, majestic species that ruled the world for decades before us, and their fossils and fragments still reveal shocking facts about the world before us about which we know so little.
