What is Vibgyor?

Vibgyor was established in Goregaon, Mumbai, India. Since its inception, it has grown into a school group with more than 40 schools in India. The group of schools has a high school and primary school, both offering Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, Central Board of Secondary Education, or A-level examinations. In fact, one student from Vibgyor High has been ranked as the best chess player in the state.

VIBGYOR stands for violet-indigo-green-blue-green-yellow-orange-red, the traditional optical spectrum. These colours are separated by their refractive indices and make up the rainbow. While they may sound a little abstract, they represent all of the colors of the rainbow, in order. VIBGYOR was created to simplify this process for visual learners, and it is now used in science and in technology as a standard optical tool.

As a natural phenomenon, rainbows are a fascinating display of different colors. Not only are they beautiful to look at, but each one has its own meaning. While sunlight appears white, it actually contains seven colours, each of which is named VIBGYOR. The process of breaking light into its individual colors is known as dispersion, and the strip of colours is called the spectrum. The rainbow is visible because it contains seven colors.

Red light is the longest wavelength, followed by violet. All other colors are short wavelengths. The wavelengths of white light are in the range of 400 to 700 nanometers. Ultraviolet light, on the other hand, is shorter than visible light, and is longer than X-rays. The longest wavelength is 400 nanometers. This is also the highest wavelength in the visible spectrum.

Violet light, on the other hand, is the highest frequency in the visible spectrum. Blue light, by contrast, has the lowest frequency. Infrared light, on the other hand, has the highest frequency. They are the two most sensitive colours, but have different wavelengths. It is the difference between blue light and violet light that gives the sky its colour. If you were to scatter violet and blue light, the wavelength of red light would be much longer than any other colors.
